I recently developed piriformis syndrome from playing overworked desk jockey/evening warrior in my “perimenopausal muscles be like wut?” years (and maybe you have, too? It often gets misdiagnosed as spinal sciatica), and I needed something to allow me to sit in any state other than screaming agony when using my sit/stand workstation. Dudes, my kidney stones hurt less than this dumb muscle spasm disorder. This cushion is freaking bomb. I have bought a LOT of cheaper memory foam cushions over the years, and I wish I would have paid a kabillion dollars for this one from the start. It’s spendy, but if you’re buying it as a medical aid, it’s worth every penny. Takes my pain on bad days from a 9 to a 7, and that ain’t nothin’.
I decided to upgrade my old office chair cushion. I had seen these online before but stayed away due to the price. I saw a review on there by a girl that has had it for 2 yrs and still loves it. It is true what people say, you get what you pay for. This is a great cushion, comfortable, soft yet sturdy and cradles my upper thighs and rear end. I have not had it that long but started loving it on the first day. This cushion is a little larger than my old one and has a better shape. Very functional and forget I am sitting on a cushion. It doesn't move too much either, I only reposition it maybe once a day. I would recommend this product.
I recently had a proctectomy ( I now have a Ken doll rear end) and I was told cushions like a donut are bad for recovery as they spread your rear and can lead to issues. This seat has a firm cushion that supports my rear and doesn’t cause any pain. Since my surgery I have been able to go back to work with this cushion giving me great support. Easy to move from chair to chair and take into the office or use at home.
I am 6'2" and about 210 pounds and just purchased a new desk chair and sad to find out that they arent putting much into the cushions these days. Was having immense tailbone pain within 2 hrs of sitting and at the end of a long day it was horrible (I'm at my computer all day for work). I purchased this and it has cured it. It really has made a noticeable difference which is all you can really hope for. I know some other reviewers have complained about the winged "tips" near the back of the seat but they haven't bothered me at all. Grips on the bottom do a really good job of keeping it in place. I probably do 1-2 adjustments in a given day. All around solids product and the gray color matches my chair perfectly. Would recommend!
I have three Tarlov Cysts that become incredibly painful if I sit for extended periods of time in my office chair at work. Particular chair is hard and not comfortable so I bought this cushion to try out. The cushion is well made and overall comfortable however it does not provide adequate pressure or pain relief as I had hoped it would, but, it is better than not having anything. I will keep the cushion as my chair will not be replaced any time soon.
